PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Phoenix has seen heavy rain for the last few days, and all that water has caused some roads to be flooded.
The weather has forced the cancellation of two spring training games -- the Diamondbacks game at Salt River Fields and the Brewers-Rockies game at Maryvale Baseball Park.
Sky Harbor International Airport has already received 0.95" of rain from this storm; some areas in the Phoenix area have gotten more than an inch.
A flash flood warning has been issued for Maricopa County. We will see the heaviest rain later this afternoon, evening and into the overnight hours.
Look for some road issues due to the washes flowing.
Storms that do develop this afternoon could produce hail and some damaging winds.
Lingering rain remains for Friday, but the intensity should die down.
Dry weather finally returns for the weekend, with forecast highs in the mid-70s around town. Another storm system early next week will bring the return of rain chances and cooler temperatures.
